FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE finished last year on a roll. They won two CMA awards in November and a month later walked away with six ACAs. But not everyone loved them. They got ZERO Grammy nominations.
The "Toronto Sun" asked TYLER HUBBARD if he felt "hurt" about getting shut out. He said, quote, "Grammys don't mean a ton to us because they're not fan-voted so if we're not there, we're not there. And if we are, we are, whatever.
"We care more about the fans and what they have to say, what they think, more than necessarily what a small group of select industry people care to think."
The fans clearly care about them. "Cruise" is the top selling digital country single of all time. It might be impossible to strike that kind of gold again, but it doesn't mean they won't try.
Tyler says, quote, "It pushes us on working harder and hopefully have multiple 'Cruises' in our career. Fingers crossed, not to jinx it . . . we can continue to write good songs and be living a blessed life, and playing sold-out shows."
