During the blind auditions for NBC's wildly popular singing competition, The Voice, last Monday night, a leggy, smokin' hot blonde named Liz Davis hit the stage and performed an over-the-top version of Gretchen Wilson's "Here For The Party." Two of the celebrity coaches, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera, were immediately blown away and swiveled their big red chairs around to get a look at the potential next member of their respective teams. Meanwhile, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton remained facing the audience until, with about 5 seconds to spare, Blake finally smacked his button to get in on the recruiting action.
And boy, did he lay it on thick, reminding the twenty-something Country music hopeful that he has the connections in the biz and even resorted to using his ACM award as a prop to help sweeten the pitch. Well, it worked like a charm and Liz agreed to become a member of Team Blake, giving a big hug to her new coach who then let her hold his trophy (the ACM award, you twisted freaks!).
At any rate, while my wife and I were watching this little flirt-fest, Ginny made a wry comment about how Miranda Lambert probably won't be too thrilled with the latest addition to her husband's team. We shall see.
Take a look at Liz Davis' performance on The Voice.
