As I was pulling into the parking lot of the Village Commons Shopping Center in West Palm Beach last Thursday night, I saw something you wouldn't expect to see in such a place...the Budweiser Clydesdales! The magnificent beasts were in full gear, hitched to the iconic Budweiser wagon complete with driver, the guy riding shotgun and the Dalmation. I had to know why they were there. In a shopping center parking lot. On a Thursday night.
So, I set off to investigate.
Turns out that it was a promotion to announce the team will be in town for two special events here in Palm Beach County.
This Saturday they'll be a part of the festivities at Bocoy Stables in Loxahatchee to benefit Big Dog Ranch Rescue (click here for info). The party starts at 2 PM, it's free and open to the public.
Then on Sunday, the Clydesdales will be hoofing up Clematis Street in the 2012 West Palm Beach Veterans Day Parade which, by the way, also includes the lovely and talented mom-to-be, Sandra Foxx, from the Jeff Elliott in the Morning Show. The parade also starts at 2 PM. Get there early and bring the family.
Meanwhile, check out the video of the Budweiser Clydesdales on Clematis earlier this year.
