WIRK-FM has been playing Country Music in West Palm Beach for over 40+ years and was the first FM Country Music Station in America. WIRK-FM is anchored by the market’s longest running morning show, J.D. & the Wake Up Crew. J.D. & his Crew have hosted some of the biggest promotions staged in the West Palm Beach that includes; Freedom Ride (where hundreds of motorcycle riders parade for Freedom), The Rough n Ready Man’s Show, Sneakers for Students and the annual “Worlds Slowest Race”. Mid-days are hosted by Program Director, Mitch Mahan who features the Country K’ Cafe, afternoon drive features J.R. Jackson with constant traffic updates for the ride home and nights with Dina Bee. WIRK-FM also conducts some of the biggest listener contests during the year including; Song of the Day where we give away his and her automobiles, Country in the Rockies, where we take listeners skiing during a giant Country Music Fest in Colorado and our annual Country Music Association Awards give a way. WIRK-FM continues to strive to deliver music and promotions that our listeners enjoy and results for our advertisers.
