I just wanted to let you know that after debating whether or not I should get Lasik Surgery for years now, I finally found someone I trust enough with my eyes. This past Friday I went in for my surgery at Florida Vision Lasik in West Palm Beach with Dr. Jack Daubert and his wonderful staff and I can't tell you enough how terrific they were with me. I was so confident I found the best Doctor I didn't even care that I happened to schedule my surgery on Friday the 13th. :) Dr. Daubert has over 20 years of experience and after Friday it was completely apparent. The procedure went great and really flew by...I mean besides the prep time to go in, I was lying down on the chair for only 15 minutes and it was like abra cadabra you can see! I will pre warn you that I wanted to bring you with me on this exciting yet scary day so we filmed the entire procedure from start to finish so you can watch it. This may or may not ease your mind if you are planning the surgery so you've been pre-warned. I haven't seen it just yet myself and some portions may appear worse look wise based on your stomach, but you'll see that I was 100% fine the whole time. Maybe not look wise but we're talking surgery here not a runway!!! I used to wear glasses and contacts for years and to not have to bother with either of them is still surreal to me. I had really dry eyes so wearing contacts all day or night is so painful. At the end of the day my eyes literally hurt and were as red as a stop sign. Even in my contacts or glasses, I would have a hard time seeing. I can't tell you how many times I would go out to eat and couldn't read the menu. I would actually have people read it to me. At work I've mentioned how JD and I constantly play this climbing light game. You see he doesn't like the lights shining on him and he climbs up every morning to turn them away from him, where I desperately need all the light I can get to read so I then climb up every afternoon and turn them towards me. This would go on every single day. Oh and it was horrible putting on make up the days I wanted to just wear my glasses, I would end up looking very similar to bozo the clown. Another plus for me is knowing how much money I am saving to not have to buy contacts, solution, or paying to switch my eye glass prescriptions ever again. Rolling over in the middle of the night and being able to see the alarm clock is hysterical to me, I've cracked a smile every time thus far.
