The Jon Smith Subs “Subsational Student of the Week” is awarded to a student currently enrolled in a Palm Beach County elementary, middle or high school.
The award is given to a student who shows his or her commitment to the betterment of the community through one or all of the following criteria:
He/she is kind to other students, parents, teachers and staff, is a responsible school citizen and is helpful in and out of class.
He/she is an enthusiastic school participant and a positive influence on other students.
He/she shows respect, fairness, perseverance, honesty, compassion, self-discipline, trustworthiness, and integrity in school and at home.
He/she has personally worked to enhance the school community or local community through volunteer efforts, community service or initiative above and beyond expectations.
One Student will be selected weekly as "Substational Student of the Week" and announced on WIRK Parents must sign a release form permitting their child's name and student story to be aired on WIRK. Each student will also receive a Giant 6 foot Sub delivered to his/her class. A date and time for this delivery will be coordinated with the class teacher.
